Description

Our client, a growing SaaS company in the FinTech space, is looking for a Senior Data Analytics Engineer to join their remote team in the United States. You’ll design, develop and optimize robust analytics systems and data architectures. This role demands deep expertise in crafting complex SQL queries, leveraging modern data warehouse platforms like Snowflake (or similar) and developing analytics and reporting systems from the ground up. Proficiency in Python and strong architectural capabilities to design scalable and high-performance systems are essential. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both development and architecture and is eager to define the future of analytics platforms. Reporting to the CTO, you’ll work hands-on as an individual contributor with growth opportunities as the company continues to scale, and work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and leadership. This is a unique opportunity to shape a modern BI infrastructure for a growing subscription management SaaS platform at the intersection of finance and technology, surrounded by a team who has taken products, like Workday and Zuora, to market.

Responsibilities

1. Architect scalable data pipelines and analytics systems
2. Design and optimize SQL queries for large datasets
3. Build and manage data warehouse solutions like Snowflake or Redshift
4. Automate ETL/ELT workflows using Python
5. Integrate data from multiple sources for consistent analytics
6. Create dashboards using visualization tools
7. Optimize system performance for reliability and speed
8. Collaborate with stakeholders on reporting needs and architecture
9. Document system design, data flows, and integration points

Qualifications

1. 5+ years of Python in data analytics development and architecture experience required
2. 5+ years of SQL development with complex joins and large data sets required
3. 5+ years of data warehouse platforms (Snowflake or similar) experience required
4. 5+ years of building ETL/ELT pipelines experience required
5. 5+ years of BI/visualization tools experience required
6. Experience with SaaS products required
