Job summary

Oliver Wyman, a global management consulting firm, seeks a Senior Counsel to join the in-house legal team supporting Marsh Management Consulting in EMEA, with a focus on Italy. The role requires 3+ years PQE and fluency in Italian and English, handling corporate and commercial contracts and advising on regulatory issues.

The position is based in Milan, Italy, permanent contract, with a market-leading compensation package including base salary and discretionary bonus.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer under Italian law with at least 3 years post-qualification experience.
• Degree in Law (Laurea Magistrale in Giurisprudenza) with an excellent academic track record.
• Fluency in Italian and English.
• Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Strong communication and drafting skills, able to interface with senior management, sound judgment and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide corporate and commercial legal advice to Oliver Wyman businesses across EMEA.
• Review, draft and negotiate commercial contracts and legal documents (engagement letters, client-form agreements, subcontracts, and third-party release letters).
• Advise consultants and corporate support functions on legal matters, including contractual implications of commercial decisions.
• Identify liability exposure and provide solutions to manage and reduce risk.
• Coordinate specialist legal review by internal and external legal advisers.
• Assist with legal support, including compliance and risk mitigation processes.
