About the Role: As part of our ongoing growth in the Italian Project & Cost Management team, Cumming Group is seeking a forward-thinking Senior Cost Manager with expertise in the hotel and hospitality sectors. You will play a key role in expanding our Italian portfolio, focusing on the refurbishment and repositioning of existing hotels and the development of new hotel properties. We are interested in candidates passionate about the hospitality industry, with an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong track record of project delivery.

The responsibilities of a Senior Cost Manager include:

1. Providing cost management services through pre and post contract processes
2. Supporting business objectives of delivering value for money in all circumstances
3. Carrying out duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures
4. Taking personal responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security, and Quality Standards
5. Assisting and driving the preparation of cost plans, including measurement
6. Supporting value engineering studies and analysis
7. Working with senior staff to gather market testing data for developments
8. Supporting data analysis on design efficiencies and benchmark comparisons
9. Preparing and assisting with tender documents, evaluations, contract documentation, and reports
10. Scrutinising and verifying applications for interim payments
11. Managing change control in accordance with contracts
12. Producing cost reports and forecasts
13. Advising and liaising with internal project and cost control teams

Key Attributes: Degree qualified (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or a similar discipline. Working towards Chartered status. Ideally, at least X years of experience in the Hospitality industry. A team player, outgoing, flexible, enthusiastic, and ambitious. A likable and warm personality that fits into and becomes an integral part of the team. Experience working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines. Background in hospitality or real estate.
