Job summary

ANDRITZ is seeking a Senior Controller for its Lucca/Pinerolo operations in Italy. The role focuses on delivering accurate forecasts, preparing reports, and explaining variances to the CFO.

You will guide the Accounting and Controlling team and coordinate budgeting and cost reviews with the headquarters. Qualified candidates have a university degree, 5+ years in a similar role (manufacturing/plant engineering preferred), excellent English, and an audit background.

Qualifications

• University degree required.
• 5+ years experience in the same role; manufacturing/plant engineering background preferred.
• Excellent English language skills (written and spoken).
• Audit background with Big4 is desirable.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support to Accounting and Controlling team members; conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.
• Lead and/or support special development projects.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cost reviews, and reporting to headquarters.
• Review cost estimations by the business department; assess financial risks.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly group reporting.
• Lead reviews for all cost deviations and mitigate risks with the execution team.

Andritz Pulp and Paper Italy s.r.l. operates in two sites; Lucca and Pinerolo, in the north of Italy. The heart of operations is based in Lucca, one of the main hubs of the global tissue industry (the so called tissue valley). The company specializes in the design and supply of advanced tissue and paper machinery, including complete production lines,rewinders and converting systems, roll handling and packaging systems,as well as automation and control solutions. In addition, it provides comprehensive after sales services and upgrades for both for tissue and paper industies.

Area of tasks, responsibility, and goals in the organizational area

The role contribute to deliver realistic forecast, collect actual data, prepare report and explain the change compare to forecast. The Senior Controller will report to the CFO.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance and support to Accounting and Controlling team members, addressing any issues or concerns promptly. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to help team members grow and improve. Facilitate team meetings to discuss goals, progress, and any challenges the team may be facing. Coordinate training and development opportunities to ensure team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.
• Lead and/or actively support special development projects.
• Lead and perform Budgeting, Forecasting, Cost reviews, Sales and Project Cost review including required reporting to the headquarters
• Lead Reviews for all Cost deviations and identify opportunities along with execution team to mitigate risk
• Review Cost Estimations by the Business Department; assess financial risks within the proposals submitted, and bring value added.
• Preparation and analysis of reporting for the Group on a monthly and quarterly basis;

Qualifications

• University Degree
• +5 year experience in the same role (highly preferred in manufacturing / plant engineering industry).

• Experience with SAP is preferred and will be considered a plus.
