Nikon SLM Solutions AG in Italy is seeking a Senior Product Control System Engineer to shape the automation architecture of next-generation metal additive manufacturing systems. You will serve as the technical interface between Italian and German engineering teams, aligning disciplines and guiding subsystem concepts.
The role requires leading technical decisions, cross-functional coordination, and ensuring robust control system design for Nikon SLM machines and peripherals.
Competenze
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, aerospace, automation) or comparable.
- Several years of experience in industrial automation, machine control systems, or complex machinery development.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering and wiring diagrams; understanding of software development.
Mansioni
- Drive the identification and consolidation of requirements for the Machine Control System of Nikon SLM machines and peripheral devices.
- Develop overall control system architectures and functional concepts; translate system requirements into subsystem solutions.
- Coordinate with the control system design team in Germany and other stakeholders for subsystem concepts.
- Define Machine Control System I/O and interfaces (mechanical, logical, electrical) with external systems.
- Collaborate with Software Development in Italy to implement concepts in software and control logic.
- Provide technical guidance during system testing, validation and commissioning.
- Support analysis, rectification, and adjustments of systems.
- Contribute to assess customer needs and define Control System Product strategy.
