Job Description:

The Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for activities related to instrumentation within a project. They work as part of a team of instrumentation engineers, preparing deliverables and executing activities in compliance with safety and technological standards.

The Engineer reports to the Head of Department and the Instrumentation Discipline Leader for project-specific tasks.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Develop discipline deliverables such as control and instrumentation design on Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), technical specifications, data sheets, sizing and calculation of flow elements, control and safety valves, cause & effect matrices, interlock and control logic diagrams, and control philosophy narratives.
• Prepare technical specifications for Control and Safety Systems (BPCS/SIS) and machinery controls and protection systems.
• Provide feedback to improve project efficiency, participate in manufacturer inspections, and assist in pre-commissioning and start-up activities related to plant automation.

He/She is expected to stay updated on instrumentation design standards and pursue continuous professional development.
