AIG in Milano seeks a Senior Construction Underwriter to lead underwriting on complex construction risks, driving profitability and leveraging strong technical and people skills.

You will underwrite new and renewal business, build broker relations, negotiate terms, and mentor junior underwriters to raise capabilities and service standards.

This role emphasizes collaboration with brokers and internal teams to maintain high standards of risk assessment and decision making.

Competenze

• Proven underwriting experience, with good knowledge of Construction.
• The ability to analyze financial statements.
• Strong communication, networking and relationship building skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Customer and Sales orientated behaviors: motivated, tenacious, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable.
• An interest in mentoring and training if you have not held these duties previously.

• Drive profitable growth in Construction by underwriting a range of new and renewal business, using your relationship skills.
• Communicate risk appetite and value proposition to brokers; negotiate pricing, terms and conditions with brokers and clients.
• Expand broker network, attend broker events and build relationships across the market.
• Set high customer service standards, mentor junior underwriters, and support them in building their broker network.
