Job summary

RINA in Livorno, Italy, is seeking a Senior Construction Safety Engineer to ensure safe construction operations within the Civil Engineering division. The role focuses on safety processes, equipment, and workers on-site, with collaboration from the Principal Engineer and Rosignano Marittimo as project base.

You will identify hazards, implement corrective actions, develop safety plans, conduct investigations, train personnel, and verify emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction safety management.
• Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards (OSHA, ANSI, NFPA).
• Experience developing and implementing safety programs and conducting safety training.
• CSP/CSE DLgs 81/08 or equivalent training required.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and mitigate construction safety risks on projects.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular site inspections and drive corrective actions for safety and health compliance.
• Assist in developing project safety plans, risk assessments and method statements.
• Investigate accidents and near misses; report findings and preventive actions.
