A well-established international firm in the energy and engineering sector is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support Owner's Engineering activities for renewable energy infrastructure projects across Italy. This position plays a vital role in the oversight of design and construction phases, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations.
Oversee and coordinate detailed engineering review processes to ensure alignment with permitting requirements and construction goals.
Lead multidisciplinary teams throughout the construction lifecycle to guarantee contractual and technical compliance.
Supervise both on-site and remote engineering teams, validating the quality and reliability of the data submitted to the project owner.
Monitor and verify progress reports submitted by contractors, including milestone achievements, invoicing justifications, and project documentation.
Maintain continuous communication with the owner, providing updates on schedule, budget, risks, and corrective action plans.
Support the enforcement of local policies, standards, and regulations relevant to energy project development and construction.
Contribute to the evaluation and management of contractual claims, change orders, and deviations.
Participate in incident investigations and enforce best practices in safety and compliance.
Review and certify key technical milestones such as Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), Mechanical Completion, Commissioning, and Performance Acceptance testing.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in project management roles within renewable energy, with a focus on construction, owner's engineering, or project execution.
University degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Energy-related fields).
Proficient in the use of project management tools, including planning software, document control systems, and collaborative platforms.
Solid understanding of contractual frameworks and the practical implications for construction, commissioning, and project handover.
Proven ability to manage teams and coordinate across disciplines including civil, electrical, and HSE specialists.
Familiarity with stakeholder engagement processes involving supervisory roles.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with an ability to manage both internal and external project stakeholders.
Native or fluent Italian speaker with fluency in English.
Experience with design reviews, asset commissioning, O&M, or technical specification development is highly desirable.
