Job summary

TGR Haas F1 Team is seeking a Senior Composite Design Engineer to lead the design and development of performance-critical carbon fibre components for the F1 car. You will own projects from concept through race introduction, collaborating with engineering and production teams to push performance in a fast-paced Formula 1 environment.

You should have a Mechanical Engineering degree, 5+ years in professional motorsport design, strong CATIA 3DX and FEA experience, and a proven ability to lead

• 5+ years in motorsport with design experience.
• Strong composite design expertise and ability to lead projects from concept to completion.
• Knowledge of composite and machine shop production processes.
• Experience with CATIA 3DX.
• Excellent English.
• Collaborative and adaptable in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Previous Formula 1 experience.
• Experience supporting development and introduction of race car components.

Responsibilities

Job description

As our Senior Composite Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of performance-critical components for the TGR Haas F1 Team race car.

Reporting to the Deputy Head of Composite Design, you will contribute to the development, optimisation, and delivery of composite components, working closely with engineering and production teams to support car performance objectives. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of composite design projects, from concept through to race introduction, within a fast-paced Formula 1 environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and develop Formula 1 car components from concept through to completion.
• Collaborate on the planning and strategy of component development and race introduction.
• Drive continuous improvement in component design, with a strong focus on car performance.
• Contribute to concept development and composite design workload planning.
• Liaise with the Race Team on reliability matters and relevant composite design revisions.
• Carry out research and development activities to support ongoing technical development.
