Reference Studios is looking for highly motivated Senior Communications Managers to join our team in our Milan office. With a strong commitment to client service, excellent client liaison skills, and specialist expertise in public relations, the Senior Communications Manager will play a major role in promoting clients across activities including events, seeding, community building, while developing and executing the Company’s communications strategies.

The ideal candidate must possess a strong drive to generate and successfully implement strategic and creative ideas, as well as demonstrate focus to achieve results with clear KPIs and ROI articulation, all while bringing an understanding of our 360 approach and a solid knowledge of the fashion industry – as well as the wider cultural spheres. Your Mission :

• Develop and execute PR plans, strategies, and concepts tailored to each client’s objectives in line with the company’s vision.
• Ensure a high standard of results for clients' visibility and brand awareness in targeted media / PR plans, meeting the ambitions, expectations, and standards of both the Client and the Agency.
• Lead within the Communications department and support the Communications Directors by organising internal agency processes from our Milan office & showroom.
• Independently supervise client accounts.
• Provide team-internal support for PR strategies and topic placements.
• Develop and execute PR plans, strategies, and concepts tailored to each client’s objectives in line with the company’s vision and overall department strategies.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with the media and represent the agency at key industry events.
• Monitor media coverage, manage clippings, and ensure optimal preparation of client reports.
• Write press releases and send out newsletters.
• Conceive and organise client events and presentations.
• Maintain the agency's internal media database and correspondence with press contacts.
• Implement talent and social media projects, including budgeting and contractual terms negotiation.
• Develop pitches, customer strategies, and handle client acquisitions.
• Conduct research and manage administrative tasks.

Your Profile :

• 5 years of relevant experience in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field within the fashion industry (agency or in-house), or within established art institutions / organisations.
• Proven track record in securing top tier coverage in print, online, broadcast, and new media; strong relationships with journalists and stylists.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically, understand business challenges, and recommend effective implementation plans designed to drive results.
• Strong knowledge of lifestyle, fashion, arts & culture, as well as daily news media landscapes.
• Composure and personality to work with senior executives and major media outlets.
• Excellent organisational skills, superior attention to detail, resilient under pressure, and ability to work quickly and efficiently on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to use G-Suite apps;familiarity with brand performance tools (e.g., Launchmetrics, Fashion GPS) and ERP systems preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Italian - additional German and / or French skills preferred.
