We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Cloud Data Architect to join our growing data management team. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Data Management, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our data ecosystem. You will be responsible for supporting the definition and deployment of a cutting-edge cloud data ecosystem, enabling an advanced data intelligence platform. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our data strategy and drive innovation within the organization.

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Design, configure, and deploy robust and scalable cloud data architectures on major cloud providers to address diverse data management use cases.
2. Implement data governance principles and best practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
3. Lead the evaluation and selection of appropriate cloud-based data services and tools.
4. Develop and maintain data integration and analytics workload optimizing for performance and efficiency.
5. Manage the lifecycle of data workloads, including development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
7. Contribute to the development of our overall cloud data strategy and roadmap.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud data technologies and trends.
9. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud data architectures, particularly within the GCP environment.
3. Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
4. Demonstrated proficiency in developing batch and event-driven data processing architectures using established architectural patterns.
5. Mastering scalable data management frameworks like Spark, Flink and Beam, with proven experiences in full data lifecycle management.
6. Experience building and maintaining data pipelines for both batch and real-time processing.
7. Proficiency in SQL, Spark, PySpark, Beam SDK, Flink SDK and other data management languages and frameworks.
8. Proven experience leading teams responsible for delivering complex architectural landscapes and development teams implementing sophisticated analytical workloads using the aforementioned languages and frameworks.
9. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
10. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
11. Experience with data visualization tools.
12. Experience with data science and machine learning workflows is a plus.
13. Certifications on Cloud Hyperscaler and Data Management Technologies is a plus.

LANGUAGES:

Fluent written and spoken English and Italian are mandatory.
