Job summary

FAO's Office of Climate Change, Biodiversity and Environment in Rome seeks a Senior Natural Resources Officer to lead partnerships with the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and FRLD, aligning programs with FAO's climate strategy. Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in natural resources management, climate change, environment, agriculture, forestry, or related field.
• Ten years of relevant experience in climate change programme management with an international organization.
• Experience in multiple locations or field positions is preferred.
• Strong proposal writing and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage FAO's corporate partnership with the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and the FRLD, including resource mobilization.
• Coordinate with technical units and decentralized offices on regional GCF/FRLD project implementation.
• Provide final quality assurance for all documents submitted to the GCF and FRLD.
• Lead implementation support for GCF/FRLD projects and capacity development activities.
• Prepare guidance documents and identify new strategic partners.
• Oversee corporate reporting and ensure alignment with donor and FAO priorities.
