Iveco Group is seeking an experienced Performance Engineer focused on engine cooling performance for commercial vehicle programs. You will drive CFD studies, 1D cooling modeling, and validation activities across simulation and vehicle testing to optimize the full-vehicle cooling performance.

The role requires proficiency in Star-CCM+, ANSA, and at least one 1D tool (Amesim/GT-Power), with strong thermal management expertise and cross-functional collaboration.

Competenze

• Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 7–12 years in vehicle thermal management, cooling, or performance engineering.
• Proficiency in Star-CCM+, ANSA, and at least one 1D tool (Amesim/GT-Power).
• Expert knowledge of engine cooling systems and thermal management.
• Understanding of radiator, intercooler, condenser, fan systems, air intake, exhaust.
• Strong background in aerodynamics, cooling, HVAC, and thermal management.
• Experience defining and managing VVPs, DVPs, and validation strategies.
• Fluent English and willingness to travel.

Mansioni

• Perform advanced CFD studies for engine cooling and thermal management.
• Prepare geometry and high-quality meshing using ANSA and Star-CCM+.
• Set up, run, and post-process simulations and analyze KPIs.
• Support airflow optimization through the cooling package and underhood.
• Act as SME for complete engine cooling system architecture.
• Develop and maintain 1D cooling models in Amesim/GT-Power.
• Correlate simulations with road tests, climatic chamber, and wind tunnel data.
• Define VVPs/DVPs and validation matrices for programs.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to teams.
