This is a full-time permanent position, with flexible location options within the EMEA region.

Job Purpose:

The Senior Category Manager – Warehouse Solutions, Automation will lead regional and global sourcing initiatives for warehouse automation solutions. You will develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to optimize supplier partnerships, enhance procurement efficiency, and ensure continuous innovation in automation equipment and robotics. The role involves working closely with senior stakeholders, identifying top suppliers, and driving strategic negotiations to align sourcing strategies with business goals.

Your tasks:

1. Specialize in strategic sourcing for global automation initiatives, focusing on robotics and equipment used in warehouse environments.
2. Lead market research and supplier intelligence to support business decisions, ensuring cost-effective solutions and high-quality delivery.
3. Establish and maintain strong relationships with divisional colleagues, suppliers, and the global procurement network.
4. Manage complex sourcing events (RFI, RFQ, RFP) and provide innovative solutions such as volume bundling, global leverage, and cost engineering to maximize value.
5. Oversee strategic supplier relationships and negotiate global and regional frame contracts.
6. Develop and implement sourcing strategies for the Warehouse Solutions category, managing risk and ensuring resilience of technical sourcing in line with industry best practices and regulations.
7. Build and manage networks with key stakeholders to continuously drive value and align sourcing strategies with business needs.

Your profile:

1. Relevant university degree and/or equivalent experience, preferably with a degree in engineering or related field.
2. 6+ years of relevant experience in sourcing automation solutions and capex projects for warehouse systems.
3. Proven expertise in negotiation, with a strong track record of successful deals.
4. Fluent in English and German (both written and spoken).
5. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Project, and procurement processes.
6. Strong analytical skills, capable of synthesizing large amounts of data.
7. Deep technical and market knowledge in warehouse automation and robotics solutions.
8. Excellent relationship management skills, with experience managing complex projects.
