Human Technopole (HT) is an interdisciplinary life science research institute, created and supported by the Italian Government, with the aim of developing innovative strategies to improve human health. HT is composed of five Centers : Neurogenomics, Computational Biology, Structural Biology, Genomics, and Health Data Science. The Centers work together to enable interdisciplinary research and to create an open, collaborative environment that promotes life science research both nationally and internationally.
Procurement Office
supports the entire Institute in sourcing and acquiring goods, services, and works in full compliance with Italian and EU public procurement regulations. It plays a strategic role in enabling research and operations by ensuring transparency, efficiency, and value across all procurement activities. For the Planning and Procurement division, HT is hiring
two Senior Buyers
to manage procurement of complex goods, services, and works, managing the entire purchase cycle autonomously.
The role includes supplier scouting, negotiation, contract finalization, and strategic advisory to internal stakeholders. It ensures compliance with public procurement code and supports continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement area.
Key tasks and responsibilities : Manage end-to-end procurement processes for complex goods, services, and works, from RFP drafting to contract finalization. Scout, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure best-value agreements. Ensure regulatory and internal compliance in all contracting activities. Collaborate with internal departments to define technical specifications and support strategic decisions. Use ERP systems for procurement execution and performance tracking; support KPI definition and process improvement.
Essential requirements : High School Diploma Minimum 7 years of experience in procurement or sales roles involving complex procedures. High proficiency in ERP and procurement platforms. Fluency both in Italian and English
Preferential requirements : Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Engineering, or Public Administration. Knowledge of the new Italian Procurement Code (D.Lgs. 36 / 2023). Experience with public procurement frameworks (CONSIP, MEPA, etc.).
Organizational and social skills : Strong negotiation skills and contract management expertise. Strategic mindset, autonomy, and problem-solving ability. Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
