Job Description:

For an OEM Automotive Company, part of an international group, we are looking for a Buyer focusing on Metal & Powertrain commodities.

The person will report to the Commodity Manager and will be part of the Procurement Department.

She/He will be responsible for the complete management of the material group within the Metal & Powertrain Commodity area.

As a member of the Procurement Department, she/he will be a key contributor to achieving the company's objectives.

The candidate will be actively involved in organizing supply chains for our supplier relationships through the international networks within the Group and will work extensively on ongoing and new vehicle projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading price negotiations and mediating award decisions through a worldwide Bidder’s List
• Identifying & leading cost-saving ideas including supplier visits at plants
• Scouting for new suppliers and innovation with a focus on economics and business sustainability
• Analyzing new market trends and deriving acquisition strategies in the Metal & Powertrain Commodity
• Participating actively in the Group Commodity Meeting to align the Purchasing Strategy with international standards
• Early involvement in projects to define the best technology to match project needs & targets
• Working with the latest e-procurement solutions
• Being an active member of cross-functional teams

Requirements:

• University degree in Engineering/Economics
• 3-4 years of experience in Procurement
• Background in the automotive sector is a plus
• Fluent in English and Italian; German is a plus
• Good negotiation skills
• Ability to manage complex supply chains
