Dana Incorporated in Italy seeks a seasoned procurement professional to lead sourcing strategies for hydraulic components and related commodities. You will drive supplier selection, negotiations, and cost reductions in collaboration with Engineering and Quality teams.

The role requires building strong supplier relationships, monitoring market trends, and supporting new product development to ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery and continuous improvement across the supply base.

• 7-10+ years of procurement experience in manufacturing.
• Strong experience sourcing hydraulic components and technical commodities.
• Experience in international and matrix organizations.

Works closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and suppliers to support business growth, product development, and operational excellence.

Responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for hydraulic components and related technical commodities, ensuring the supply of high-quality materials and services while achieving cost, quality, and delivery objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for hydraulic components, including pumps, valves, cylinders, manifolds, fittings, castings, forgings, machined parts, and assemblies.
• Lead supplier selection processes, RFQs, cost analysis, contract negotiations, and supplier qualification activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers and drive supplier performance improvements.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews focused on quality, delivery, cost, innovation, and sustainability.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial agreements to achieve cost reduction targets.
• Identify savings opportunities through market analysis, benchmarking, and value engineering initiatives.
• Monitor commodity trends and proactively manage supply market risks.
• Support new product development and product change initiatives in partnership with Engineering.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, and Quality teams to improve inventory management, supply continuity, and supplier quality performance.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of procurement experience within manufacturing environments.

Required Skills

• Strong experience sourcing hydraulic components and technical commodities.
• Proven success in supplier negotiations and cost reduction initiatives.
• Experience working in international and matrix organizations.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, manufacturing processes, and supply chain principles.

• Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, analytical, and project management skills.
