Why you, why now?

We’re ready to take a big step forward in Italy, growing our merchant and partner network in large-scale retail (GDO) and structured food chains. This is a key vertical for us, and while our presence is still emerging, we see strong demand from both users and client companies.

That’s why we’re looking for a Senior Business Development Manager– Network to lead the charge in building high‑value partnerships with national retail and food chains (50+ stores). You’ll be joining at a pivotal time, with the autonomy to drive deals that shape our growth in Italy.

About You

You’re a self-starter with a proven track record in enterprise sales or partnerships, ideally in retail, food, or payment ecosystems. You’re comfortable operating at C‑level, shaping a vision, and closing complex deals with structured organizations.

You thrive when you own a market opportunity end to end: from strategy to execution. You love building relationships, tackling objections with creativity, and turning opportunities into long-term value for everyone involved.

Must Have

  • 5+ years experience in B2B sales, partnerships, or business development.
  • Strong track record closing large-scale partnerships.
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously as an individual contributor in a high‑impact role.
  • Native/Fluent Italian & strong business English skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills at C‑level.
  • Experience in strategic planning and go‑to‑market execution.
Nice to have
  • Experience in the retail/GDO or food service space.
  • Existing network or relationships with national chains in Italy.
  • Background in fintech, payments, or HR tech.
  • Public speaking or brand evangelism experience at industry events.
The Role

On a typical day, you will...

  • Scout & close partnerships with national food and retail chains (50+ stores) to integrate Coverflex into their ecosystems.
  • Define and execute go-to-market strategy, focusing on high-value chains that deliver the biggest impact for Coverflex users.
  • Represent Coverflex at industry events and in the GDO ecosystem, becoming a trusted face and thought leader in the space.
  • Collaborate with marketing to design awareness campaigns and initiatives that increase visibility in the retail/food vertical.
  • Report directly to the Country Manager and play a key role in shaping priorities and the Italian network roadmap.
Salary range
  • On‑Target Earnings (OTE): 70–85k€
  • Fixed RAL: 50k€ – 60k€
  • Variable: 20k€ – 25k€ based on performance
  • Welfare budget: 3.5k€ – 4k€ per year
  • Meal allowance: 8€/day
  • Stock options: to share in our growth
