Who we are
Medis specializes in out-licensing high-quality generic pharmaceuticals to third-party pharmaceutical companies. Established in 1985, we offer a broad portfolio of 170+ generic pharmaceutical products, mainly in the form of tablets, capsules and injections.
Our portfolio includes a growing range of specialist oncology products and product formulations, predominantly solid oral dosages.
We develop these products in house and provide our customers with the necessary regulatory support. In fact, we have a proven track record in securing regulatory approval prior to patent expiries, and have supported our customers in obtaining marketing authorizations in over 100 countries.
Medis has full backing from our parent company, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd . We draw on their development and manufacturing capabilities, and their team of in-house experts. At the same time, our focus on technical excellence and compliance extends to our treatment of our customers confidential information.
The opportunity
As a Senior Business Development Manager (BDM) you will play a critical role in developing market strategies in your responsible market (Italy), leading and executing in market B2B business development and key account management within the pharmaceutical space.
We are flexible with the location of this role. Ideally to be located in Teva Assago offices (Milan). But we are also happy to offer a remote contract if the candidate is not living in the area.

Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Business or related field of study8+ Years of commercial experienceExperience with contract negotiations and knowledge of regulatory / compliance requirements preferredExperience or knowledge in regulatory and legal / IP will be highly regardedFluency in written and spoken English languageStrong leadership with ability to lead for successCommercially focused with high numeracy and good analytical skillsStrong business partnering, interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to develop and successfully execute commercial strategy from lead generation to sales.Ability to work well in high pressure situations in order to meet deadlinesStrong project management skills with ability to deliver solutions on target and on budget, while generating superior resultsThe capacity to grasp the many challenges of the generic pharmaceutical industry, be comfortable in a fast paced environment with multiple projects, working across the business as required.
