ENGIE GLOBAL MARKETS ITALIA BRANCH cerca un Senior Business Developer per guidare lo sviluppo di soluzioni Green Power e BESS in Italia, basato a Roma. Ruolo front-office in ambiente di trading, con responsabilità di gestione della pipeline, negoziazione contratti e supporto ai team interni.

Il candidato ideale possiede oltre 10 anni di esperienza nel mercato energetico, laurea magistrale in discipline quantitative e una forte conoscenza del contesto normativo italiano.

Competenze

• Oltre 10 anni di esperienza nel mercato energetico, con proveniente esperienza in origination.
• Laurea magistrale in discipline quantitative (ingegneria, economia, finanza, ecc.).
• Ottima conoscenza del sistema elettrico italiano, dei mercati e del contesto normativo.
• Conoscenza di modelli di pricing, metriche di rischio e contratti energetici (PPA, Tolling).
• Abilità commerciali e negoziali.
• Spiccate capacità analitiche.
• Orientamento ai risultati, approccio pratico e gestione di flussi multipli.
• Affidabilità, rigore e attenzione ai dettagli.
• Collaborazione interfuncionale con stakeholder interni.

Mansioni

• Sviluppare il business green power e BESS concentrandosi su prospecting, pipeline commerciale e closing.
• Sviluppare PPA Green Power dall’onboarding fino alla firma, negoziazioni e governance interna.
• Cooperare con il team Downstream per strutturare offerte PPA downstream.
• Sviluppare tolling/flex BESS con opportunità di ottimizzazione tramite third party developers.
• Sviluppare soluzioni Hybrid PPA PV/Wind/BESS per clienti maturi e data center.
• Originare, implementare soluzioni di risk management per la crescita del portafoglio S&EM in Italia.
• Monitorare cambiamenti normativi e di mercato italiani rilevanti per il green power.
• Fornire conoscenze di mercato tecniche e supporto contrattuale coordinando stakeholder.

What will you do?
Under the supervision of the Head of Business Development & Sustainability, you will Develop the green power and BESS flexibility business (prospecting, building commercial pipeline and closing deals) focusing on:

• Green Power PPAs : Develop from onboarding, structuring, managing the client’s relationship, negotiating terms till internal governance committees preparation and validation and deal signature opportunities in Italian Upstream PPA with third party developer and with Engie projects;
• Cooperate with Downstream sales team in structuring and drafting the downstream PPA offers
• BESS/Flex Tolling : Develop from onboarding, structuring, managing the client’s relationship, negotiating terms till internal governance committees preparation and validation and deal signature BESS tolling/flex optimization opportunities with third party developers
• Hybrid PPA (PV, Wind, Bess) : Develop hybrid PPA solution targeting a 24/7 solutions for mature clients and data centers;
• Develop, originate and implement risk management solutions to support the growth of S&EM renewable and BESS portfolio in Italy;
• Full comprehension of the pricing methodologies and models and collaboration to the development of the relevant models in close collaboration with the power portfolio and pricing team;
• Follow legislative and market structural changes in the Italian markets impacting S&EM green power and flexibility business
• Provide technical market knowledge and commercial support to implement contracts properly, while ensuring a very good coordination of the different stakeholders/counterparties involved.

This is a front office role, working in a dynamic trading floor environment and in close collaboration with trading, quants, risk, legal, and other origination teams.

ABOUT YOU

• More than 10 years of experience in the energy market, with relevant experience in origination. Track record in Italian green power with track record in structured green PPA deals negotiated and signed .

• Master degree in quantitative discipline (engineering, economics, finance, etc.).

• Solid knowledge of the Italia power system, markets and regulatory context.

• Knowledge of pricing models, risk metrics, physical and financial energy products and contracts (PPA, Tolling, etc.), main master agreements.

• Commercial and negotiation skills.

• Strong analytical skills.

• Result-oriented, hands‑on approach and ability to manage multiple workflows.

• Reliable, rigorous and detail-oriented.

• Oriented towards cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to understand and exploit the activities of other teams in order to successfully carry out negotiations requiring internal approvals

• Team player, communicate easily and ability to interact/cooperate with a variety of different profiles (portfolio manager, legal, analysts, sales, risks, credit, support functions, etc.).

• Fluent in English and Italian
