We seek a highly qualified, self-employed Senior IT Business/Functional Analyst specializing in banking - Accounting & Reporting Area, with 5+ years of experience. This role is critical in helping our business partners evolve and adapt to consumers' personalized expectations in this new technological era.

• Programming languages: Oracle SQL (Intermediate Queries) and MySQL.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) or active participation in Agile teams.
• Experience with tools like Rally, JIRA, TFS, or similar for Agile project management.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Collecting, analyzing, and documenting functional requirements related to general ledger and bank regulatory processes.
• Collaborating with IT teams to define functional specifications and support testing and validation processes.
• Supporting accounting close processes (monthly, quarterly, annual), including reconciliation.
• Providing support for projects introducing new accounting standards (e.g., IFRS9, IFRS16, IFRS17).
• Monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting to authorities like the Bank of Italy, ECB, and EBA.
• Reviewing Finance processes with a focus on efficiency and compliance.
• Interfacing with internal stakeholders (Finance, Risk, Compliance, IT) and external regulators and auditors.

Functional skills required:

General Ledger & Reporting:

• Knowledge of bank chart of accounts, especially under IFRS and national standards.
• Experience with first note processes, accounting entries, asset management, accruals, and deferrals.
• Deep understanding of national (OIC) and international (IFRS) accounting principles.
• Ability to analyze complex accounting entries and map income statement/balance sheet accounts.
• Experience with ERP systems and banking finance/accounting modules (e.g., SAP FI, Oracle, Zuora).

Regulatory & Compliance:

• Knowledge of banking regulatory requirements such as FINREP, COREP, AnaCredit, PUMA.
• Understanding of Basel III / CRR / CRD impacts on accounting and risk-weighted assets.
• Familiarity with regulations from BCE, EBA, Bank of Italy (e.g., Circulars 272, 115).
• Experience with reconciliation flows and processes.
• Understanding of internal/external audit processes and SOX or similar controls.
