Job summary
KPIT Technologies Ltd. in Piemonte, Italy seeks a Lead Base Software Systems Engineer to support VHIL labs, production, and pre-production plant setups.

Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master in related engineering fields.
- 5+ years embedded software debugging experience.
- Experience with bootloaders, hypervisors and operating systems.
- Willingness to travel 10–20% to production facilities.
- Familiarity with diagnostic protocols (UDS/DoIP/SOME/IP/OBD).
Responsibilities
- Debug and triage embedded software issues in Plant, VHIL and Production setups.
- Travel to production plants and test facilities for on-site issue resolution.
- Support bring-up and troubleshooting of bootloaders, OS, hypervisors, middleware, and diagnostics.
- Debug infotainment peripherals: touch interfaces, audio, USB, Ethernet, BT/WiFi, radio tuners.
- Develop and maintain diagnostic and flashing tools, log collection, and FOTA workflows.
- Collaborate with Base SW, Integration, Cockpit Infotainment, Connectivity, and Plant teams for root-cause analysis.
