Help us preserve classic cars' legacy with Roarington.
The new Classic Car Metaland.

We are committed to promoting heritage and preservation of classic cars in a rapidly and fundamentally changing world. With Roarington, we aim to contribute to the sustainable future of classic cars in the digital age and promote these vehicles to a younger generation through our digital platform, Metaland. You will act as a bridge between the physical and virtual worlds of classic cars, helping to bring digital twins to life in Metaland.

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to operate and develop our platform, roarington.com, which features a digital replica of classic cars served via pixel streaming from Unreal Engine. Currently managed externally, we plan to bring this operation in-house. As our first DevOps engineer, your responsibilities include managing deployment, monitoring technologies, executing updates, and collaborating with colleagues. Since the system is stable, DevOps tasks are expected to take up no more than 20% of your time. The majority of your role will involve backend development to enhance the platform and support more user engagement.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Roarington platform
• Manage contracts with service and hosting providers
• Deploy updates and fixes
• Develop tools to improve reliability and user experience
• Ensure scalability, performance, and security of applications
• Investigate and resolve technical issues
• Develop and maintain server-side logic
• Develop APIs for web and mobile applications
• Implement automated testing

Requirements

• 5+ years experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role
• Professional DevOps experience
• Experience with Docker, Git, Linux
• Experience with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, etc.)
• Proficiency in Java, C#, and DotNet
• Optional: experience with Unreal Engine
• Problem-solving mindset
• Team-oriented attitude
• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Location flexibility: remote work with optional office in Milan
