Job summary

hlpy is seeking a Software Engineer to join the backend team. You will design, build, and scale high-performance Python applications, shaping technical direction and mentoring junior developers while remaining hands-on.

Applicants should have 4+ years in backend Python, experience with Django/FastAPI/Flask, RESTful APIs, and Docker/Kubernetes. This is a total remote role with a competitive salary and training budget.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in backend software development with Python.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based backend services and APIs.
• Shape architecture and contribute to technical decisions.
• Collaborate with product, tech leads, and engineers to translate requirements.
• Implement unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure reliability.
• Optimize code and systems for performance and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor junior developers and support team growth.
