Senior Back End Developer (m/w/d)

As a senior back-end software engineer in our growing and international New Ambulatory Information Systems (NAIS) team, you will help us transform healthcare by designing and developing next-generation, platform-based practice- and patient management software for medical professionals, based at our site in Molfetta, Italy.

What you will do:

1. Build fast, secure, reliable, and scalable services using cutting-edge technology that meet user needs.
2. Understand requirements, domain, and the big picture.
3. Collaborate with a global team of developers, DevOps, QAs, Product Owners, UX-Designers, and Scrum Master to refine specifications and improve products and standards.
4. Estimate, plan, and review user stories and code with the team.
5. Contribute to our modern, agile software development process and organization.
6. Identify innovation opportunities in technology and methodology and drive their implementation.
7. Mentor and develop internal talent.

What you will bring:

1. At least 5 years of professional experience as a back-end developer.
2. Experience in healthcare or life sciences is a plus; experience in other digitization markets is also valuable.
3. 5+ years working with Java 8+, JavaEE.
4. Proficiency with OOP, MicroServices, RESTful Webservices, C APIs, Swagger, OpenAPI, Spring Framework, ActiveMQ, JPA/Hibernate, JSON, XML, Databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB), SQL, Junit, Mockito, GIT.
5. Deep understanding of software engineering principles, architecture, design patterns, Domain Driven Design, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.
6. Knowledge of Redis, Minio, Logstash/Fluentd, FHIR, HL7, Docker, OAuth, KeyCloak, Solr, Elasticsearch, UML is advantageous.
7. Excellent presentation and communication skills.
8. Strong team player with a passion for collaboration in international, cross-functional, virtual teams.
9. Fluent in English.
10. Agile, solution-oriented attitude with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
