Job summary

Roboze is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong experience in industrial automation to work on B&R PLCs and IEC 61131-3 based real-time control systems. The role requires autonomous, structured work and the ability to influence software architecture and continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams, translate requirements into robust software, and support commissioning with advanced technical help.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in industrial automation with direct responsibilities.
• Proven experience in B&R PLC programming.
• In-depth knowledge of IEC 61131-3 and Structured Text.
• Understanding of real-time systems, determinism, scan cycles, and resource management.
• Experience in software design for automatic machines or industrial plants.
• Experience in IT/OT integration (SQL databases, MES/ERP, structured logging, TCP/IP).
• Fluent English.
• Degree in Automation or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software for B&R PLCs using IEC 61131-3 (primarily Structured Text).
• Design and implement real-time control logic for automation systems.
• Collaborate on machine design, translating requirements into software architectures.
• Analyze electrical and pneumatic diagrams to correctly integrate automation solutions.
• Support commissioning and provide advanced technical support to customer care.
• Manage software versioning through Git and maintain high code quality.
