Senior Automation Engineer

Techconsult is the link between jobs and professionals. For one of our customers we are now looking for a Senior Automation Engineer 27467.

Are you a skilled automation engineer with experience in the oil and gas industry? Our team in Oslo is now seeking a new colleague with approximately 5 years of experience who can contribute to our department of talented and knowledgeable professionals.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate and approve documentation from subcontractors.
2. Ensure compliance with contract requirements and legislation.
3. Develop project documentation such as functional descriptions and testing procedures.
4. Monitor and report progress on assigned work packages.
5. Perform on-site testing and participate in offshore commissioning.

Your Experience and Qualifications:

1. Educated in Automation, Cybernetics, or a related field, BSc or MSc.
2. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with PLC-based process control systems.
3. Experience with Siemens SIMATIC PCS7 or similar control systems is essential.
4. Proficiency in reading and understanding system control diagrams (SCD).
5. Comos experience is highly advantageous.
6. Experience from EICT projects in the oil and gas sector is a plus.
7. Familiarity with industry standards such as NORSOK is beneficial.
8. Strong collaboration and communication skills.
9. Analytical and solution-oriented.
10. Comfortable working in an interdisciplinary environment.
11. Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Norwegian is advantageous.
