A well-established Italian private equity firm is looking to add a Senior Associate to its investment team in Milan. Focused on mid-market control transactions across Italy, the firm has a track record of executing complex investments and supporting portfolio companies through hands-on value creation. It is currently deploying capital from its fourth fund (target €250M, with €150M raised and two investments already completed).

The Role

As a Senior Associate, you will take a leading role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing new investment opportunities, as well as supporting strategic initiatives across the portfolio. This position offers direct exposure to the firm’s Partners and investment committee, with the expectation of growing into a more senior leadership position over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead key workstreams in deal execution, including financial modelling, due diligence, valuation, and negotiations
• Prepare investment committee materials and manage communication with internal and external stakeholders
• Conduct sector and thematic research to support origination efforts
• Engage directly with management teams and advisors during transaction processes
• Contribute to value creation and performance monitoring across the portfolio

What We’re Looking For

• 4–6 years of experience in private equity or investment banking, ideally with exposure to complex transactions (LBOs, special situations, or financial restructurings)
• Strong commercial judgement and experience managing deal processes
• Native Italian speaker with fluency in English
• Advanced modelling, analytical, and presentation skills
• Top-tier academic background in Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Entrepreneurial mindset, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills
