The Role
Condé Nast Italy is seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior Art Director to join its Commercial Creative Department. The role will be responsible for developing and supervising the visual layout of creative commercial projects involving Condé Nast brands (including Vogue, Vanity Fair, GQ, Wired, AD, Traveller & La Cucina Italiana), working along with Strategy, Production and Project Management departments to ensure that designs align with the brand’s identity and elevate the overall creative and commercial purpose. The ideal candidate comes with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in graphic design, an eye for detail, and leadership abilities to guide and mentor junior roles.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the creative design process from concept to final execution across multiple platforms, including print, digital and video media

  • Collaborate with creative marketing, strategy, editorial and related departments to deliver design solutions that align with brand guidelines, client needs and business purposes

  • Produce high-quality visual assets for multi-platform advertising campaigns, including social media, print, events, etc.

  • Ensure design consistency and high standards of quality across all creative commercial projects

  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently, ensuring timely delivery without compromising quality

  • Present design concepts and ideas to internal stakeholders and clients, incorporating feedback to refine and improve designs

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging design tools, and technologies to bring fresh ideas to the table

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, helping to foster a collaborative and creative team environment

Primary Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Art Direction roles, preferably with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in design for Luxury, Lifestyle, Fashion and Beauty clients

  • Professional working proficiency in Italian and English, written and spoken

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Strong visual culture and passion for new trends

  • Ability to apply visual storytelling to different formats (static, video, motion).

  • Advanced proficiency in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Sketch, Figma, or similar tools.

  • Experience in leading and mentoring design teams, with a high ability to collaborate across different departments

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
