Circular is currently seeking a talented and thoughtful Senior Art Director who is a designer, art director and team leader plus a key mentor and support for the whole design department. This is a hands-on role, balancing and fulfilling the needs of the division, the designers, and your individual workload simultaneously. With great human relationship skills, is truly passionate about communication and design, has an eye for detail, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Circular is a multidisciplinary agency based in Milan, specialized in creating strategies and design solutions for clients predominantly in the fashion, luxury, technology, music and art fields. The Art Director will be responsible for leading and overseeing various teams of designers to create bold and high-quality creative initiatives across a range of channels, including content, digital, social, branding and immersive experiences. Strong knowledge and understanding of the creative field and high taste levels are essential for this role. Happy to be client-facing and willing to work together with the management team to create stunning projects. The Art Director is willing to dialogue and review the work with the Creative Director, preparing and keeping organized his own work and of the others, to ensure the discussion allows constructive feedback, within effective timelines. The ideal candidate is a problem solver able to research, concept, comp and present innovative ideas with confidence, aiming to create elevated and high-quality visual outputs.

Responsibilities.

• Develop and manage the creative vision and direction for every single project, ensuring that the content meets the needs of our clients and is aligned with Circular creative direction.
• Manage and mentor a wide team of designers, artists, directors, and photographers, providing guidance and feedback to ensure that the produced work stands out for the highest quality.
• Closely collaborate with the management team to visually conceptualize ideas. Able and happy to refine and sharpen materials based on internal and client feedback.
• Highly organised, ready to balance and prioritize tasks and requests for different projects going on at the same time.
• Hands-on projects, being actively involved in all stages of production, along with the opportunity to be on-site at shoots.
• Fully immersed and updated with creative, cultural, art direction and design knowledge, curious about new trends.
• Managing and contributing to recruiting new design and artist talents. Working closely with external vendors and freelancers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• As a senior member of the team, you must lead by example and have an extreme eye for detail to ensure that all visual content meets the standards for quality, accuracy, and brand consistency.
• Directly report to the Creative Director, with whom you will have a fluid and communicative relationship.

Requirements.

• Experience in high-quality creative executions across branding, content, campaigns and events.
• Familiarity with productions (Photo / Video / CGI / Events).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role with an agency, design studio or brand.
• Ability to work with focus and accuracy.
• Solid portfolio demonstrating execution of a various range of projects (with a focus on Fashion, Luxury, Accessories, Transportation)
• Strong understanding of contemporary culture, strategy, brand worlds and social channels.
• High level of precision and autonomy, with a keen eye for details.
• Able to work under pressure and on tight deadlines.
• Outstanding communication skills both in Italian and English to maintain effective working relations with a wide range of internal and external contacts.
• Open-minded, flexible and able to work with people effectively at all levels.
