Job Overview

The Senior Applications Engineer is a product expert and will collaborate with our sales and business development team in answering technical inquiries, sizing electrolyzer systems, and generating technical proposals. The role involves working closely with the Application Engineering Support team, who are experts across various engineering disciplines. You will also be involved in client technical interactions and project studies such as Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and HAZOP Analyses. Once the project is sold, you will work closely with our Project Management Team by providing site-specific drawings and documents. You will also act as a resource to our Field Service team during the installation phase.

By tapping into your strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will build strong relationships. You will work hand-in-hand with other members of Ohmium's team including Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Finance to help sell our solutions and showcase our technology. Each day offers a variety of new challenges, including:

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Technical Product Expert: Become a technical expert on all aspects of Ohmium's product offerings, requiring understanding across multiple engineering disciplines (chemical, mechanical, electrical, civil, electrochemical, etc.).
2. Client Engagement: Work with the sales team as the primary technical liaison for clients and their consultants/EPCs. Develop strong relationships to enhance client satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.
3. Proposal Support: Assist the Sales Team in developing detailed, competitive technical proposals. Dive into technical details of customer projects and develop innovative engineering solutions to meet their needs. Review RFQs to ensure technical requirements are met and proposals align with Ohmium's strategic goals.
4. Design Package: Coordinate the standard design package for Ohmium's products with clients, ensuring they are adaptable to meet diverse needs.
5. Project Design & Integration: Lead the integration of Ohmium's products into client projects, ensuring seamless implementation. Collaborate on key project studies like FEED and HAZOP, and support during installation.
6. Research & Development and Product Optimization: Lead efforts to analyze lessons learned from client interactions and projects, providing insights to R&D for product improvement. Gather regional market and competitor data.
7. Remote Work & Travel: Work from a home office environment, ensuring confidentiality, quietness, reliable internet, and availability during business hours. Travel within the EU (~20%) and potentially internationally as needed.
8. Strategic & Technical Skills: Develop and execute engineering strategies aligned with company goals. Possess a solid technical background in industrial plant design or electrochemical systems, with strong business acumen, presentation, communication, analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and adaptability skills.

Required Qualifications, Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience in science/engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of engineering experience, preferably in renewable energy, hydrogen, P2X, oil & gas, process technology, licensing, power, or related fields, or military experience in relevant areas.
