Doctolib is seeking a Senior or Staff AI Engineer to join the Remote Care stream in Milan. The role focuses on building AI-powered tools that transform how healthcare professionals deliver care beyond in-person encounters, including intelligent patient messaging and telehealth experiences.

You will work in a feature team across the Patient Messaging platform and Telehealth software, driving end-to-end AI product development while reducing care team workload and improving patient access to care.

Competenze

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer with hands-on AI/ML systems experience.
• 2+ years of Python experience and comfort with AI/ML engineering practices.
• Full-stack capability; comfortable with React/TypeScript or Kotlin for end-to-end features.
• Fluent in English for daily work.

Mansioni

• Design, ship, and operate production-grade agentic systems powering remote care products with strong observability and fail-safes.
• Build and improve AI agents, orchestration systems, and core agentic capabilities including memory, reasoning, tool adapters, and multi-agent coordination.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to design evaluation pipelines, guardrails, and metrics; own operational AI projects alongside data science teams.
• Own performance, observability, and security: dashboards, SLO/SLI definitions, and security posture for medical data sensitivity.
• Contribute to full-stack development to deliver end-to-end features for healthcare professionals.
• Mentor and enable software engineers to build confidently in an agentic AI environment.
