Baker Hughes is seeking a Senior Advisor, Supplier Quality Strategy & Innovation in Italy to drive excellence across emerging technologies and electrification systems. You will shape quality strategies, strengthen supplier capabilities, and accelerate innovation within the global supply chain.

The role requires leading strategic initiatives, advising leadership, and pushing for data-driven, preventive quality practices across diverse supplier ecosystems. Travel up to 40% is expected.

Competenze

• Degree in Chemical/Material Engineering (5Y).
• 10+ years in Supplier Quality Engineering or Quality.
• Proven knowledge of Electrical Systems.
• Experience driving corrective actions with large global suppliers.
• English fluent.
• Willing to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally.

As Senior Advisor, Supplier Quality Strategy & Innovation , you will serve as a key thought leader and strategic partner, driving Supplier Quality excellence across emerging technologies, electrification systems, and future-focused energy solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to shape quality strategies, strengthen supplier capabilities, and accelerate innovation across the global supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving strategic Supplier Quality initiatives supporting new energy technologies, electrification systems, digitalization, and other emerging business opportunities.
• Acting as a trusted advisor to leadership teams on Supplier Quality strategies, risk management, and deployment of best practices across global operations.
• Lead the development and implementation of innovative quality approaches to support new products, advanced manufacturing technologies, and evolving supplier ecosystems.
• Supporting supplier scouting, qualification, and technology assessments for strategic and emerging technologies, identifying quality risks and capability gaps early in the development process.
• Promoting advanced quality methodologies, preventive quality culture, and data-driven decision-making to improve supplier performance and product reliability.
• Championing continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization, defect reduction, cost of quality improvement, and operational excellence.
• Supporting the definition and deployment of quality requirements for electrification technologies, electrical systems, advanced materials, and emerging manufacturing processes.
• Identifying industry trends, benchmark best practices, and translate technological advancements into actionable Supplier Quality strategies.
• Representing Supplier Quality in strategic business reviews, technology roadmaps, and cross-functional transformation initiatives.
• Promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, integrity, sustainability, and continuous learning throughout the supplier network and internal organization.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Chemical/Material Engineering degree (5Y)
• Have significant experience in Supplier Quality Engineering or Quality (+10Y)
• Have proven knowledge of Electrical Systems
• Have proven experience in acting and driving corrective actions with large global suppliers
• English fluent
• Be able to travel (up to 40%) domestic and internationally

For Italy: The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 53,000 To 99,000. The provisions of Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti will be applied to this position. Section VI – Titolo IV of that collective bargaining agreement relates to pay.
