This role will be supporting the accounting manager and the financial manager in the daily accounting tasks. We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our team in Milan.
Key responsibilities:
- Support general financial programs and policies to achieve implementation of the functional policies.
- Support the execution of financial transaction records through ongoing support and solutions, including ledger maintenance, financial recording, and accounting reports.
- Execute defined in-scope processes under General Accounting and Period Closing.
- Handle Intercompany Accounting activities, Fixed Assets accounting (specific areas), and Fiscal books.
- Collaborate with the function and GBS on all financial data entry, ledger maintenance, and reporting activities.
- Support the GBS organization in delivering their services by resolving exceptions and issues promptly, sharing local business requirements, especially in Accounts Receivable, credit blocks, credit limits, collections, and dispute management.
- Monitor processes under GBS responsibility.
- Serve as the SPOC on fiscal matters with external fiscal consultants and coordinate related activities.
- Assist the Finance manager in Treasury management, cash flow activities, and coordinate with external lawyers involved in A/R collections/disputes.
Qualifications & skills:
- Extensive experience in general accounting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, including VAT audits, reconciliations, and handling open requests.
- Good knowledge of tax issues, including VAT regulations, deductibility, gratuities, prize competitions, etc., with the ability to implement and check compliance.
- Knowledge of IFRS standards.
- Experience in treasury management.
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
- Strong experience in multinational settings, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team player attitude.
- Proficiency in Office, especially Excel.
