Role Responsibilities
- Ensures the reliability of the company’s administrative and accounting operations, working closely with Management to achieve both company and Group objectives;
- Manages and coordinates the general accounting of the GXO Group in Italy, ensuring the correct accounting treatment of business transactions in accordance with Italian GAAP and US GAAP;
- Defines and implements new processes and procedures to optimize administrative and accounting activities, coordinating with both branch offices and other central business functions;
- Actively contributes to the preparation of the annual financial statements and consolidated financial reports, maintaining operational relationships with relevant stakeholders (auditors / statutory auditors / consultants);
- Monitors and analyzes personnel accounting;
- Oversees periodic accounting and tax compliance income tax returns, VAT declarations, etc.
- Regularly interfaces with Group Accounting contacts at the Regional and Corporate levels on accounting and reporting matters, as well as with the Group’s Treasury, Internal Audit, and FP&A teams;
- Collaborates with other business areas to ensure compliance with administrative procedures and full adherence to SOX requirements.
Skills and Requirements
- Degree in Economics or related fields;
- At least 8 years of experience in an Accounting department, preferably within multinational companies and / or in the logistics and transportation sector;
- Knowledge of Italian GAAP and US GAAP;
- Excellent command of the English language;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and accounting software;
- Knowledge of AS400 and Oracle is a plus;
- Strong interpersonal and managerial skills, flexibility, accuracy, punctuality, confidentiality, problem-solving abilities, and a team-oriented mindset.
