Avery Dennison in Italy (Abruzzo region) is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Finance Accounting team, responsible for monthly and annual financial statements under Local and US GAAP, and for reconciliations and journal entries.

The role collaborates with departments and external auditors, ensures compliance with GAAP and tax laws, and supports development and career advancement in a collaborative environment.

Competenze

• 3–4 years’ experience in audit and accounting
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices and procedures
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Fluent in Italian and English; strong communication
• Very good IT knowledge, especially Excel; Oracle knowledge is a plus

As a Senior Accountant, you will be part of our Finance Accounting department and you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and reports (Local and US GAAP)
• Perform account reconciliation; troubleshoot and analyze discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), tax laws, and internal policies and procedures
• Analyze and verify internal consistency, completeness and mathematical accuracy of accounting documents; make adjustments, as necessary
• Responsible in preparing, adjusting and closing journal entries
• Audit, review and verify accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records
• Coordinate accounting matters with other departments, locations and divisions (i.e., Customer Service, Procurement, Warehouse, etc.) and with external accounting service firms
• Coordinating with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory agencies to ensure the Financial Statement and Tax return comply with local laws and requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or related field
• 3-4 years’ experience in audit and accounting
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles, practices and procedures
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Capacity to work on multiple projects and deadlines
• Capability to communicate effectively with internal and external parties
• Fluency in Italian and English
• Very good IT knowledge, in particular Excel; Oracle knowledge is a strong plus
