Job summary

CAI is seeking a Senior Accountant with expertise in the French market to join our multinational team in the Milan area. The role focuses on day-to-day accounting for the Group's French entities, including AP/AR, cash management and financial reporting.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in general and tax accounting, strong SAP and Excel skills, and fluency in English and Italian. French language capability is a plus. Location: Province of Milan, full-time permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in general and tax accounting.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping and reporting.
• Experience with finance, asset management and payment processes.
• Advanced knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of French GAAP and local accounting/tax regulations is preferred, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for the Group's French entities.
• Oversee AP, AR, sales, purchases and non-trade payables.
• Support cash management, payments and financial reporting.
• Maintain and review financial records, including fixed assets, payroll postings and month-end accruals.
• Perform bank and intercompany reconciliations.
• Manage general accounting, VAT returns and statutory tax reporting, in collaboration with local advisors.
• Liaise with external auditors and support the resolution of accounting matters.
• Contribute to process improvements, internal controls and finance projects.
• Operational support in the organization of meetings, events and corporate activities.
