Offer Description

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is seeking a tenured Associate Professor in Applied Mechanics to consolidate and strengthen both the scientific and educational expertise in this area. The focus is placed on wind energy, specifically on control applications at both the single turbine and wind farm levels. The successful candidate will carry out research that encompasses both theoretical and experimental aspects within the aforementioned field. More specifically, the candidate is expected to integrate into the existing research group within the Department and actively contribute to European projects and the consolidation of international collaborations. The candidate will work on wind turbine and wind farm control, developing innovative control algorithms and validating them through wind tunnel testing. The candidate will also be responsible for teaching activities related to courses and topics specific to Applied Mechanics.
