Location Overview:

This school has three campuses throughout the Milan Area, hosting classes from Nursery to Secondary School. With its 10,000 square meters, the Secondary school campus is built in a territory subject to rapid transformation. Job Overview:

The post is for an enthusiastic and experienced Secondary Visual Arts Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about teaching and learning and thrives in a multicultural and collaborative school environment.
Key responsibilities include:

• Teach middle and high school Visual Arts courses, ensuring the delivery of engaging, challenging, and well-structured lessons;
• Teach classes in IGCSE and /or IB MYP ( dependent on experience);
• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning;
• Assess students' progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to encourage academic growth;
• Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that caters to the diverse learning needs of students, using differentiated teaching strategies;
• Encourage a growth mindset and develop students' passion for the Arts, helping them build essential skills for their future academic and professional endeavours.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the Arts Department and across the school to share best practices and resources.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts or a closely related field.
• Teaching certification, with preference given to those with an IB teaching qualification or experience.
• Familiarity with the IGCSE and/or IB MYP curricula is an advantage, but a strong understanding of the principles and practices of inquiry-based learning in other curricula would be accepted.
• Prior experience in an international school environment is desirable.
• Someone who is passionate about international education, creative in their thinking and collaborative in their approach.
• The successful candidate will also be adaptable, motivated by challenge and an excellent, highly organised classroom practitioner.
