A leading energy drink company in Italy is seeking an R&D Layup Technician responsible for defining ply flat patterns for carbon component manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of composite design and experience with software tools like NX-CAD and Fibersim. Strong communication skills in both English and Italian are essential for collaborating with various departments and producing plybooks for production.

Competenze

• Basic knowledge of software tools for plybook compiling.
• Good understanding of composite design and production processes using prepregs materials.
• Basic knowledge of CAD systems (NX preferred).

Mansioni

• Define nesting of the flat patterns.

The R&D Layup Technician is responsible for releasing lamination flat patterns of the assigned car parts to the production department. The role involves defining ply flat patterns in compliance with internal rules, procedures, and processes for carbon component manufacturing. Additionally, the R&D Layup Technician may support Composite R&D Engineers in releasing layup information to the Production Department.

R&D LAYUP

• Define nesting of the flat patterns.
• Model the plies layup using available software tools (NX-CAD, Fibersim, Laminate Tools, Composite Design).
• Compile and release plybooks for car parts production as requested.
• Interact with other Departments (Design Office, Production, Quality Control, Car Assembly).

Your areas of knowledge and expertise

• Basic knowledge of software tools for plybook compiling (Corel Draw).
• Basic knowledge of tools used for ply draping, layup simulation, and nesting (Fibersim and Design Concept).
• Basic knowledge of CAD systems (NX preferred).
• Good understanding of composite design and production processes using prepregs materials.
• Basic knowledge of the Lectra digitalize module.
• Initiative and innovation skills.
• Hardworking with a team-oriented attitude.
