Job purpose

We are looking for a talented graduate student who, as part of a team, will be involved in the study and development projects of synthetic chemical processes for the manufacturing of new products and for the optimization and improvement of existing processes.

Key responsibilities
  • Contribute to the study and development of the best response conditions and the definition of the experimental plan and analysis of the results, with the team of senior researchers.
  • Perform chemical reactions, purification of intermediate and final products.
  • Assemble laboratory equipment (e.g., reactors, thermocryostat, distillers, solvent evaporation equipment).
  • Edit laboratory notebook to document experimental activities.
  • Make calculations of required quantities of reagents and reagents.
  • Manage small-scale production of orphan drugs in the laboratory plant, including documentation of production batches.
Required skills, qualifications, experience and behaviours
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology.
  • Ph.D. in organic chemistry is a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of organic chemistry.
  • Extensive knowledge of laboratory technologies.
  • Good knowledge of the principles of the main analytical techniques of investigation.
  • Good knowledge of the principles of physical chemistry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong propensity for teamwork.
  • Good knowledge of the English language.
