Tasks

3Brain is looking for a Scientific Communications Specialist for its Italian office. You will work in the marketing department in close collaboration with the FAS (Field Application Scientist) team and will play a vital role in effectively communicating the science behind our technology. By monitoring experimental and scientific activities at 3Brain and its partners and communicating about them through writings, marketing materials, talks, and seminars, you will help position our products and research as leaders in the industry.

Main responsibilities

  • Develop and convey complex scientific information in a clear, compelling, and jargon-free manner.
  • Create scientifically accurate and engaging content for various channels, including social media, press releases, website, blogs, and marketing materials.
  • Attend conferences, congresses, and trade shows as an oral speaker or poster presenter to showcase the value and impact of our scientific breakthroughs.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key customers and key opinion leaders to develop scientific topics of interest for 3Brain's community.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, the competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform communication strategies.

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD degree in molecular/cell biology, biotechnology, life sciences, or a related field.
  • Full proficiency or native-level in English.
  • 3+ years of laboratory experience in cell biology or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills to connect with both scientists and the general public.
  • Proven experience in writing scientific papers.
  • Proven experience in scientific communication through social media (e.g., LinkedIn or Twitter).
  • Proficiency in data visualization, including plotting scientific data and displaying it in charts, graphs, and other visual formats to enhance understanding and engagement.
  • Highly motivated self-starter and independent worker.

Additional Qualifications

  • Over 1 year of experience on a scientific journal editorial board.
  • Over 1 year of laboratory experience on cell-based assays for compound screening in pharma industries.
  • Strong molecular and biochemical background.
  • Experience with microelectrode array (MEA), calcium imaging, or patch-clamp recordings.
