Datalogic Group is looking for an SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) Business Analyst to join the Global Demand Management and ICT Applications Team within the Information and Communications Technology Department.

This position will play a key role in supporting and improving the company’s internal Sales, Logistics and Customer Service management processes at global level and will be based in the HQ in Lippo di Calderara (BO).

ROLE MISSION:

The Sales and Distribution Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and continuously optimizing business processes related to Sales, Logistics and Customer Service.

This role is a strategic link between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring that Sales, Logistics and CAS requirements are effectively translated into functional SAP configurations and digital solutions that support informed decision-making delivering robust and scalable SAP solutions.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to sales, distribution, pricing, shipping, billing, and customer service processes.
  • Support and improve SAP SD processes including:
  • Sales order processing (standard and third-party);
  • Delivery and shipping execution;
  • Billing and invoicing;
  • Credit management;
  • Pricing, discounts and taxes.
  • Perform root cause analysis for issues and provide timely solutions or workarounds.
  • Collaborate with ABAP developers for custom enhancements where necessary.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional projects involving QM, MM, WM and other SAP modules.
  • Design and execute test plans, validate functionality, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Provide post-go-live support and end-user training.
  • Monitor and resolve issues related to sales orders, deliveries, billing documents, and pricing errors.
  • Participate in SAP upgrades, migrations (including S/4HANA), and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence team in developing reports to support business decisions, providing analytical support in the areas of Booking, Backlog, Sales tracking analysis and forecasting.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.

Experience: 4-5 years of proven experience in SAP SD module configuration, implementation, and support in Manufacturing industry.

Specific Skills:

  • Familiarity with SAP configuration for SAP QM module is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end order-to-cash (O2C) processes
  • Understanding of SAP master data (customer master, material master, pricing conditions).
  • Deep knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) like Boomi/Retarus.
  • Familiarity with other SAP modules (MM, FI, CO, PP) and reporting tools like SAP BW, PowerBI, QlikView will be considered a plus.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a strong plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and provide solutions.
  • Experience working in a project-based environment, managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality results within deadlines.
