Generali is seeking a Senior SAP Expert to join the OneFinance 2026 delivery team. You will act as the functional and technical authority for SAP FI/CO processes, from blueprint design to hypercare, in a multi-country, regulated financial services environment.

You will design, configure, and optimize SAP S/4HANA FI/CO, ensure robust interfaces with Ivalua, ServiceNow and Tagetik, and supervise testing, training and governance activities across rollout countries.

Competenze

• 9–10 years SAP FI/CO experience with multiple end-to-end S/4HANA cycles.
• Deep knowledge of GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting.
• Strong CO knowledge: cost center, internal orders, profit center, product costing.
• Ability to translate requirements into SAP configurations.
• Experience in multi-country transformation programs.
• English at C1 level or above.
• Experience in IT Service management on SAP-based solutions.

OneFinance 2026 is a multi-country, multi-entity Finance Transformation Program sponsored at Group level and currently active across 8+ countries and 30+ legal entities. The program is built on SAP S/4HANA as its core ERP, integrated with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), Ivalua (P2P), ServiceNow (financial services & request management), Tagetik (CPM/consolidation), and SAP FPSL/GLPD for IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 compliance. The program covers full accounting standardization, record-to-report process harmonization, and digital transformation of Finance operations across the Group, in close partnership with Accenture, PwC, and BCG.

We are looking for a Senior SAP Expert with deep expertise in Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules to join the OneFinance 2026 delivery team. Working within an international, fast-paced transformation environment, you will be the go-to functional and technical authority for all SAP accounting and controlling processes — from blueprint design through to hypercare and continuous improvement.

This is a high-visibility, high-impact role. You will collaborate daily with Finance process owners, system integrators, and IT architects, and your work will directly shape how the Group runs its financial operations across Europe and beyond.

Key responsibilities:

• SAP FI/CO Design & Configuration: Lead the functional design and configuration of SAP S/4HANA FI and CO modules, aligned with Group accounting standards and IFRS requirements.
• Systems Integration: Ensure robust data flows between SAP and integrated platforms — Ivalua (P2P/procurement), ServiceNow (financial requests), Tagetik (consolidation and planning), and other country-specific systems. Define interface specifications and validate end-to-end accounting impacts.
• Month-End & Period Closing: Define and optimize the Group month-end closing process within SAP, including intercompany reconciliation, accruals, depreciation runs, and financial reporting cycles. Support country teams during go-live and stabilization phases.
• Process Harmonization & Optimization: Analyse existing country-level accounting processes and drive standardization across entities. Identify automation opportunities within SAP (e.g., using SAP BTP extensions or Fiori-based workflows) to reduce manual effort and improve data quality.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Own the functional testing strategy for FI/CO: define test scripts, coordinate SIT and UAT cycles, track defects, and ensure that resolution meets business requirements before each country go-live.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Training: Act as the primary FI/CO point of contact for Finance process owners, internal audit, and external partners (Accenture, PwC). Design and deliver functional training for local Finance teams across rollout countries.
• Documentation & Governance: Produce and maintain high-quality functional specifications, process documentation, and configuration rationale in line with program governance standards. Contribute to design authority sessions and change control processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related discipline. An advanced degree or SAP certifications are considered advantageous.
• 9/10 years of hands-on SAP FI/CO experience, including at least 2 full end-to-end S/4HANA implementation or migration cycles.
• Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Asset Accounting.
• Strong knowledge of SAP CO: Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Profit Center Accounting, and Product Costing fundamentals.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into precise functional specifications and SAP configurations.
• Track record of delivering in large-scale, multi-country transformation programs within complex stakeholder environments.
• Proficiency in English at C1 level or above (working language of the program)
• Experience in IT Service management on SAP-based solutions

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to SAP FPSL / GLPD or other IFRS sub-ledger solutions.
• Knowledge of SAP BTP integration suite, SAP Integration Advisor, or iFlow configuration.
• Experience with Tagetik or similar CPM/consolidation tools in an integration context.
• Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and agile delivery frameworks.
• SAP certification in FI, CO, or S/4HANA Finance.
• Programming skills in ABAP language (reading, de-bugging, writing)
• Experience with P2P tools (Ivalua or Ariba) and their accounting implications.
• Experience working in regulated financial services (insurance, banking, or similar) with exposure to IFRS 17 or IFRS 9 accounting requirements

What we offer:

We offer employment at the VI level with the relevant salary, in accordance with the CCNL ANIA for non-executive employees and the Generali Group Company Agreement.

Gross annual salary ranging between 50K€ and 55K€. The final offer will be aligned with the candidate’s professional experience, technical and soft skills relevant to the role, and may include an individual variable component.
