Purpose of the job

The role is responsible for the support of the SAP system in coordination with the respective specialist departments. This role is the technically competent contact person within HHLA International for all relevant SAP issues.

Summary of responsibilities:

1. Support on the SAP ERP system for all HHLA International companies and first point of contact for users
2. Responsible for cross-company compliance with standard processes, structures and system configurations within SAP and the associated subsystems
3. Keep the process and system documentation up to date
4. Maintain the cross-company organizational structures and master data in the SAP system
5. Work intensively on the roll-out of the SAP system to other companies, from planning to implementation
6. Take up the requirements of the specialist departments, implement minor adjustments independently by means of customizing or pass them on to the external consultant
7. Support and coordinate external service providers
8. Introduce innovations into all ERP processes at our terminals
9. Monitor and support SAP standard and self-developed interfaces to SAP modules, IT systems and service providers
10. Be responsible for the implementation and acceptance of system and functional tests
11. Define the specifications for the authorization concept in the SAP environment
12. Analyze existing and new business processes and develop new IT solution concepts for the SAP system

Education & Experience:

1. Degree in (business) informatics, economics or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through commercial work experience
2. Practical experience in the support and further development of SAP processes
3. Experience in the definition, design, and implementation of SAP processes
4. Experience in the S4/HANA environment
5. Proven experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams of IT and Operations

Technical Skills & Knowledge Required:

1. Sound knowledge in the application and customizing of SAP on S4/HANA environment

1. Good knowledge of project management
2. Ability to work independently and on your own responsibility
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
4. Positive attitude towards innovation and its implementation
5. High attention to details to ensure the processes are optimized

Language Requirements:

1. Fluent spoken and written English is a must
2. Knowledge of other languages such as German, Italian, Estonian, Ukrainian an advantage
