About the job

We are seeking a talented and motivated SAP Commerce Cloud Engineer to join our international team. In this role, you will design and implement stunning, intuitive user interfaces, leveraging your expertise in SAP eCommerce and front-end development to elevate our e-commerce solutions.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with international & cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions. You will have the opportunity to influence the direction of our projects and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes while working independently.

Your tasks

1. Conception of IT architectures, maintenance of relevant channels, interfaces and connection of cloud solutions to SAP S/4 HANA
2. Preparation and implementation of meetings, documentation, presentations and demos
3. Update and maintain the front-end components of the SAP Hybris platform
4. Implement new user interface features using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
5. Write and maintain scripts to automate tasks and improve the functionality of the platform
6. Ensure scripts are optimized for performance and security
7. Troubleshoot and debug issues in the front-end codebase
8. Use version control systems like Git to manage codebase changes
9. Following version control best practices to ensure a clean and maintainable codebase
10. Write and execute tests to ensure the quality and reliability of the front-end code
11. Work with QA engineers to resolve any issues found during testing
12. Understand the end-user experience and make sure the front-end provides a seamless and intuitive experience
13. Gather feedback from users and stakeholders to improve the platform

Requirements

1. At least 3 years of professional experience as a Front-End Engineer
2. Front-End Development: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
3. Proficiency in Java, Spring, and related technologies
4. Strong understanding of RESTful web services, including API design, development, and integration
5. Knowledge of scripting languages used in web development
6. Understanding of version control systems like Git
7. Experience or familiarity with SAP Commerce Cloud platform
8. Basic experience in SAP Commerce Cloud development or related fields
9. Relevant internships, projects, or courses in web development and eCommerce
10. Organized and goal-oriented working style, resilient, proactive and solution-oriented
11. Strong communication skills, assertive and team spirited
12. Ability to present complex subjects in a simple manner
13. Fluent business English is a requirement and speaking German is an advantage
