We are supporting a global leader in the consumer goods industry in their search for a SSAP Ariba Functional Consultant – P2P (Contract) to join their Global IT organisation on a 7–9 month maternity cover contract. The role is based remotely within the EU.

This is a pivotal position at the core of the company’s Enterprise Applications team, ensuring the stability, optimisation, and continuous improvement of Purchase-to-Pay processes worldwide. The successful candidate will act as a key link between global business stakeholders, IT, and external vendor teams, driving adoption of SAP Ariba, overseeing service delivery, and safeguarding integration with SAP ECC.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead service delivery and service management for Purchase-to-Pay (Ariba + SAP ECC).
  • Oversee incident and change management, including ticket resolution, prioritization, and escalations.
  • Drive adoption and provide user support for SAP Ariba post-implementation.
  • Guide and coordinate external vendor teams (20+ consultants globally) – training, setting priorities, ensuring delivery quality.
  • Support global change requests and process improvements in P2P.
  • Act as the main point of contact for business teams worldwide on P2P-related projects and escalations.
  • Ensure smooth integration and alignment between SAP Ariba and SAP ECC.
  • Prepare and manage a seamless transition before and after the maternity leave coverage.
Key requirements
  • Proven expertise in SAP Ariba (must-have).
  • Strong understanding of SAP ECC (MM module) and related integration touchpoints.
  • Solid experience in service delivery and service management (ticket flow, vendor team leadership).
  • Background in purchasing, shared services, or P2P process ownership is highly valued.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to deliver results in a global environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset – ability to challenge vendor estimates and secure realistic outcomes.
  • Fluent English; Spanish or other European languages are an advantage.
