What you'll need to have
- 3+ years of professional experience in sales
- 2+ years of experience in leadership roles
- Ability to implement plans, prioritize, and make decisions quickly, championing flexibility, speed, and simplicity
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trustful relationships and act as a considered decision-maker
- Leadership capabilities to inspire and communicate effectively with peers and stakeholders, using IKEA's tone of voice
- Organizational skills to prioritize tasks and processes efficiently
- Ability to identify business opportunities and drive high commercial performance
- Follow-up skills to measure performance, learn, and improve planning and outcomes
- Knowledge of sales techniques, local market dynamics, sales channels, data analytics, KPIs, and space management
- Strong Core Area approach
- Fluent in Italian and English
What you'll be doing day to day
- Take responsibility for your department's goals across channels, ensuring alignment with country priorities for the Home Furnishing Business (HFB), and follow up with proven solutions
- Maintain the store in excellent condition, fully stocked, and presenting the product range in an inspiring way at all touchpoints
- Identify and act on commercial opportunities or threats by monitoring KPIs, analyzing local market and customer feedback, and managing stock availability
- Collaborate actively with the Store Commercial Team and HQ to ensure effective communication and best practice sharing
- Work proactively with HR to ensure adequate staffing, training, and professional service delivery, aligned with a core area approach
- Ensure the team has the right mindset, product knowledge, and understanding of IKEA services to deliver an exceptional customer experience
- Recruit, onboard, and develop team members, fostering engagement and succession planning
- Participate actively in sustainability initiatives, reflecting these priorities across store offerings
