Sales Support & Business Development (m / f / d)

The ideal candidate will create and complete bids / estimations / quotations based on customer specifications or requirements / budget to achieve market competitiveness and high margins for the company while maintaining a balanced relationship between all Hitachi Energy units and customers in their responsibility.

How you will make an impact

  • Formulate competitive bids / estimates / quotations considering the best product mix and technical and commercial considerations for each situation. Ensure timely and detailed tender documentation, including accurate costs.
  • Manage the preparation of technical, financial, and project management aspects of the bid / estimate / quotation, indicating prices and trading conditions.
  • Provide inputs for editing activities according to bid planning and manage external services such as translations and governmental approvals.
  • Archive documentation related to offers and orders, record assumptions and decisions, and regularly report bid status, analyzing reasons for wins and losses. Identify potential risks across contracts.
  • Participate in the Risk Review process as per company policy.
  • Gather and organize all information needed for proposals, including technical and cost data. After order confirmation, collect relevant documentation for project kickoff and book the PO into SAP.
  • Build and maintain effective customer relationships to understand needs and ensure a positive sales experience. Support Front End Sales during technical customer meetings.
  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in High Voltage is advantageous
  • Fluency in Italian and English is mandatory
